Role: IT Developer

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, worked on a shift basis (between 8am-6pm)

Salary: £25,000 - £29,000 per annum

Location: 4 days per week in Central Cardiff + 1 day from home

Sadler Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading organisation in Cardiff that is looking to hire an IT Developer.

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to work in a small IT Department in a graduate IT Developer role. This is an exciting post for the right individual. The IT Developer will get the opportunity to learn all aspects of IT. The IT Developer will be coding new systems, creating new forms, APIs, or reporting systems.

You will learn

Python coding
SQL Databases
Software and application support
Configuring hardware and building/supporting applications.

The IT Developer will report to the Head of IT and this person has a proven track record in training and skills development.

Responsibilities

Successfully research organise, develop and manage appropriate I.T coding projects.
Manage, develop and improve an existing in-house development which includes full systems, MS SQL and scripts.
Develop and maintain workflows, functions, forms, and reports
Contribute to software development projects with innovative ideas and solutions

Essential skills

Programming skills (in a reputable programming language)
HTML, JavaScript, CSS and web development
Understanding of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
Base knowledge and understanding of networks and server environments
Willingness to work with, diagnose problems with and install various software packages
Full Driving license

Desirable:

MSSQL and SQL Server skills
Python or PHP programming skills
Familiarity with system integrations (APIs, web services) and third-party tool integrations
