We design and build immersive brand environments, touring activations, retail installations, and narrative-driven physical experiences for global brands. Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Development & Experiential Strategist to drive new revenue opportunities across brand, tech, entertainment, and retail clients.

This is a contract role with a base retainer plus commission structure tied directly to closed revenue.

This role is responsible for generating qualified opportunities, shaping early-stage strategy, and guiding prospects from first conversation through proposal.

West Coast candidates only with preference for those who live in Los Angeles as we may have occasional in-person meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across priority verticals

• Build and maintain relationships with brand marketers, agency partners, and experiential leads

• Lead early discovery conversations and uncover real business objectives

• Collaborate with internal creative and production teams to shape pitch direction

• Help define scopes, budgets, and strategic positioning before proposal stage

• Track pipeline, forecast revenue, and drive deal momentum

• Represent EXstudios confidently in rooms with senior stakeholders

Ideal Background

• 7+ years in experiential, live events, brand marketing, or integrated agency environments

• Proven track record of closing mid-to-large scale experiential programs

• Strong network across brands, agencies, entertainment, retail, or tech

• Strategic thinker who understands both creative ambition and operational reality

• Comfortable navigating complex budgets and multi-stakeholder decision trees

• Self-directed and entrepreneurial

Compensation

• Monthly base retainer

• Commission on closed business

• Upside tied directly to revenue growth

• Flexible, performance-driven structure

• Note: this is a 1099 independent contractor role

• Closed deals aligned with EXstudios’ premium positioning

• Long-term brand relationships, not one-off transactions
