Project Manager – Data Interoperability & Migration

Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)

Rate: $55–$70/hr on W-2

No C2C or Third-Party Candidates

Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Project Manager to lead data interoperability and modernization initiatives. This role will support a database migration effort and ongoing projects across multiple systems serving various business units.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in healthcare IT or data-driven environments, with the ability to manage complex projects, engage stakeholders, and ensure successful delivery of data exchange solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead project execution across data interoperability and migration initiatives
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables
Facilitate daily stand-ups, stakeholder meetings, and executive-level reporting
Coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and external partners to ensure alignment and delivery success
Oversee database migration efforts, particularly within Microsoft SQL Server environments
Monitor project progress and provide status updates, dashboards, and KPI reporting
Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies
Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards
Support adoption of interoperability tools, workflows, and data standards
Promote transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across project teams

Required Qualifications

8+ years of project management experience in healthcare IT or similar environments
Experience with Microsoft server environments, particularly SQL Server
Strong understanding of data standards and interoperability concepts
Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects
Experience working with vendors and external stakeholders
Strong communication skills with the ability to present to executive leadership
Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, IT, Business, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

PMP or CAPM certification
Experience with Oracle database environments
Master’s degree in Health Informatics, IT, or related field
Experience with clinical systems or enterprise data platforms
