About the Role

The Global Director provides strategic and operational leadership for IT and digital transformation across the Sector globally. This role is accountable for defining and executing technology strategies that align with business objectives, driving growth, efficiency, and innovation across all functions and geographies. The Global Director ensures the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality IT services worldwide, fosters a culture of digital innovation, and upholds strong governance and compliance standards to enable operational excellence and advance the company’s transformation agenda.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Transformation:

Define and implement the global IT and digital transformation roadmap aligned with Sector and enterprise growth objectives.
Lead the design and implementation of transformational technology initiatives to improve service delivery, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Identify and onboard new digital capabilities, processes, and technologies to support the long-term Sector growth.

Service Delivery Excellence:

Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality IT and digital services globally, with strong performance, security, and customer satisfaction standards.
Drive continuous improvement through process optimization and technology upgrades across regions.
Manage the global IT service portfolio to meet evolving business needs.

Global Integration & Standardization:

Promote integration and standardization of IT services across geographies while accommodating local regulatory and operational requirements.

Governance, Risk & Compliance:

Establish robust governance frameworks and risk controls in line with global and regional regulations.
Maintain cybersecurity and data privacy standards across all business units and geographies.

Stakeholder Relationship Management:

Build strong relationships with the business units, leadership teams, and external partners to understand needs and deliver effective solutions.

Team Leadership and Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of IT professionals across the Sector, fostering accountability, empowerment, and continuous learning.
Implement performance measurement frameworks and report KPIs regularly.
Build organizational capabilities to support future growth, including workforce planning, talent development, and succession management across the organization.
Champion diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement initiatives globally.
Unify previously separate IT teams by eliminating operational silos and fostering collaboration, enabling them to function as an integrated global IT enterprise.

Innovation and Technology:

Stay ahead of global technology trends and assess their potential to improve service delivery and customer experience.
Implement innovative solutions to support business transformation worldwide.

Vendor & Partner Management:

Manage global vendor relationships to ensure contractual compliance and value delivery across all regions.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) and Information Systems or Technology Management would be considered as a plus as well as additional certifications in IT governance, cybersecurity, or digital transformation (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, CISSP, PMP).

Required Skills

Deep expertise in IT operations, digital transformation, and data management within complex, multinational matrix organizations.
Proven ability to align technology strategies with business objectives, optimize processes, and lead cross-functional teams in global environments.
Strong understanding of business operations, financial management, and technology trends.
Demonstrated success in delivering business growth and leading organizational change.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Willingness to travel internationally as required.

Preferred Skills

Additional certifications in IT governance, cybersecurity, or digital transformation (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, CISSP, PMP).
