Full-Stack Engineer
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £80,000 + benefits
We have partnered with a well-funded, founder-led technology startup operating in the sports and media space, building next-generation systems for processing and analysing live content in real time.
As the platform scales, they’re hiring a Full-Stack Engineer to design and deliver high-performance systems across real-time data pipelines, modern frontend applications, and AI-enhanced product features.
What You’ll Do as a Full-Stack Engineer:
Own the end-to-end delivery of real-time video, data, and AI-driven analysis across a modern digital content platform.
Design and build resilient backend services using Java and cloud-native infrastructure.
Develop modern, high-performance frontend applications using TypeScript and a modern JavaScript framework.
Architect and maintain real-time data pipelines using event-driven systems and streaming technologies.
Work across cloud-based serverless and containerised infrastructure to deploy scalable, production-ready systems.
Integrate LLM APIs and AI-powered workflows into product functionality and engineering processes.
Leverage AI coding assistants and modern development tooling to accelerate development and automate workflows.
Collaborate closely with a small, high-trust engineering team to ship features quickly and reliably.
Take ownership of system architecture, infrastructure decisions, and production deployments.
Core Technology Stack:
Backend: Java, distributed messaging systems, relational databases, Docker, infrastructure as code
Frontend: TypeScript, modern JavaScript frameworks
Infrastructure: Cloud-native serverless and containerised environments
AI Tooling: Regular use of AI-powered development tools and coding assistants
What We’re Looking For in a Full-Stack Engineer:
A polyglot engineering mindset with the ability to work across multiple languages and systems.
Strong experience building backend services and distributed systems.
Ability to read, understand, and contribute to Java-based systems.
Frontend experience with modern frameworks such as React, Vue, Svelte, or similar technologies.
Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs from leading providers.
Regular use of AI tools and coding assistants to increase development velocity and automate workflows.
Strong engineering fundamentals including testing, documentation, security, and performance optimisation.
Comfort working in fast-moving environments where ownership, clarity, and delivery are expected.
Nice to Have’s as a Full-Stack Engineer:
Experience in sports technology, live event data systems, or digital media platforms.
Exposure to streaming technologies or real-time data processing frameworks.
Strong experience designing data architectures and large-scale distributed systems.
