**DATA PRODUCT MANAGER – ENTERPRISE DATA & BI TRANSFORMATION – PARIS (HYBRID)

Location: Paris, France (Hybrid)

Contract: Freelance / Contract

Rate: Negotiable daily rate

Experience: 6–10 years

Languages: Fluent French & English required

Overview

We are supporting a global leader in sustainable construction materials and advanced industrial solutions as they accelerate a series of major Data & BI transformation initiatives.

With operations in dozens of countries and a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation, the organisation is investing heavily in its Data & Analytics capabilities to support business performance across its global operations.

They are now looking for a Senior Data Product Manager to join their Data-as-a-Service department, where you will lead the assessment and study of multiple Data & BI initiatives, ranging from small-scale improvements to large strategic programmes.

You will work closely with Data & Analytics experts, architects, and technical leads, while collaborating with key business stakeholders across multiple functions to shape and deliver the next generation of data products.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the assessment and scoping of Data & BI initiatives within the Data-as-a-Service organisation
Understand business ambitions, operational challenges, and strategic goals
Organise and facilitate workshops with business stakeholders and data teams
Gather and structure the functional and technical inputs required for project studies
Document functional architecture and data product concepts
Perform data modelling and design business layers (Silver Layer)
Coordinate Data-as-a-Service contributors, including Technical Architects and Data/BI Engineers
Define and document solution value and expected outcomes
Prepare build/run budgets, roadmaps, and delivery planning
Formalise final “Go-to-project” proposals for implementation

Required Experience

6–10 years of experience in Data, BI, or Data Product Management roles
Experience working within enterprise data platforms or large data ecosystems
Strong experience interacting with business stakeholders and technical teams
Experience contributing to data transformation programmes or modernisation initiatives
Ability to lead cross-functional workshops and structured assessments

Key Skills

Excellent communication skills in French and English
Strong exploratory data analysis and analytical thinking
Solid understanding of the end-to-end data lifecycle (data source to visualisation)
Expertise in data modelling and semantic/business layer design
Knowledge of ERP environments (SAP) and Master Data Management
Strong organisational and scoping methodologies
Customer-focused mindset with strong stakeholder engagement skills
Collaborative team player comfortable working across business and technical teams
