Windows Infrastructure Automation Engineer – Quant Trading

Quant Capital is urgently seeking a Windows Infrastructure Automation Engineer / PowerShell Engineer to join a high‑profile quantitative trading client in London.

The firm operates a mixed Windows and Linux infrastructure across physical and virtual environments. This role is ideal for a highly capable Windows engineer with a strong automation mindset and deep PowerShell expertise, motivated by solving complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

You will contribute to the design, implementation, and ongoing optimisation of infrastructure systems, with a focus on:

Windows platform engineering and automation
Operating systems and endpoint management
Authentication and identity systems
Virtualisation and core infrastructure services
Network and messaging services across Windows and Linux environments

Required Skills & Experience

STEM degree or equivalent technical background
Strong Windows systems engineering and automation experience
Advanced PowerShell skills (C# exposure beneficial)
Deep understanding of Windows technologies (Active Directory, Failover Clustering, etc.)
Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities
Familiarity with Windows Server technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Exchange, SCCM, Hyper‑V, ADFS)
Working knowledge of Linux, networking, and security concepts
Experience integrating on‑premises and cloud environments

Desirable

Experience with containers across Windows and Linux
Background in high‑performance or low‑latency environments
