About Us

Founded in 2007, Albuquerque Family Counseling stands at the forefront of mental health and wellness, offering compassion and evidence-based care. Our mission is to provide the highest quality in mental health services and to make therapy easily accessible to our clients. We have built a strong reputation in the community for relationship counseling, providing our therapists the opportunity to work with couples at every stage. We also address a wide range of individual concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and personal growth.

We are equally committed to creating an environment where clinicians can thrive both personally and professionally. We recognize that to best support our clients, we must first prioritize the well-being of our clinicians and our support staff. With flexible scheduling, a strong support system, and extensive professional development opportunities, this role provides the balance and stability counselors need to flourish.

Actively participate in organizational trainings and professional development
Promote, support, and demonstrate AFC’s values through both behavior and job performance, adhering to policies, procedures, compliance plans, and standards of conduct on a day-to-day basis

Perks and Benefits:

Compensation: $42-$55/hour, commensurate with experience and licensure
Part-time or full-time contract options
Flexible scheduling: your schedule, your time
Hybrid model: fully telehealth/remote (optional) or in-person, based on your preference and availability
Unlimited CEUs, including state-required CEUs

Comprehensive training programs for couples and sex therapy

Qualifications & Minimum Requirements:

Independent Contractor Status

At Albuquerque Family Counseling, we partner with our clinicians as independent contractors. This means you’ll enjoy the freedom to create a schedule that works best for you, choose the mix of clients that feels right, and bring your own professional style to your work. As this is a contractor role, traditional employee benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, or paid time off are not included. Instead, you maintain full independence in managing your own taxes, licensure, and liability insurance while we provide the support of working in a practice that allows you to focus on your clients.

DEI Statement:

Albuquerque Family Counseling is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse environment where all individuals are respected and valued. We believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential to providing effective and culturally competent care to our clients.
