Job Specifications

An exciting opportunity on a 9-month contract has arisen for an Employee Relations Associate to join a growing, people‑focused organisation where you’ll play a key role in shaping a positive, high‑performing workplace culture. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on building trusted relationships, and wants to develop their ER expertise within a collaborative HR team.

Responsibilities:

Providing expert guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters, including performance management, sickness absence, flexible working requests and grievances.
Building strong, credible relationships across the business, becoming a trusted partner to managers and employees.
Coaching and training managers on effective ER practices, conflict resolution and performance management.
Working closely with managers and HRBPs to create practical action plans that address employee concerns and drive improved performance.
Supporting the development and implementation of ER policies and procedures.
Delivering engaging training sessions to managers and HR teams on ER best practice and employment law.
Maintaining accurate, confidential case records and ensuring full compliance with employment legislation.
Keeping up to date with case law and recommending improvements to current practices.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems, processes and ways of working.
Supporting HRBPs with organisational change projects, including restructures and M&A activity.
Leading or contributing to specialist projects such as DSARs, whistleblowing, SMCR and policy reviews.
Providing ER support to the wider HR team, including Senior HR Advisers and HR Services.
Producing and analysing HR MI to identify trends and opportunities.
Assisting with broader HR initiatives as required.
Travelling between Bracknell, London and other offices when needed.

Requirements:

CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) and an up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence, coach and build trust.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
High attention to detail and strong analytical capability.
