Job Summary – SCCM / PowerShell Automation Engineer

Lead the conversion of MDT task sequences to SCCM for various server and workstation roles (Domain Controllers, Jump Servers, PKI, SCOM, etc.).
Modernize legacy scripts (cscript/VBScript) into modular, SCCM-ready PowerShell scripts.
Audit and update existing automation scripts for PowerShell compatibility, logging, error handling, and idempotency.
Package and validate smart card (Gemalto) drivers and related components for deployment.
Develop modular SCCM Task Sequences, integrating PowerShell modules, prestart commands, and required packages.
Standardize and document automation workflows, packaging, and version control processes.
Test and validate automation solutions in a lab environment, including full end-to-end OS and application builds.
Ensure automation supports OS customization, driver handling, feature/role installs, and enterprise security (PKI, IPSEC, smart cards).
Create comprehensive runbooks, deployment documentation, and operational guides for all solutions delivered.
Collaborate with stakeholders to modernize and streamline server/workstation deployment processes.
Required skills: 5+ years advanced SCCM experience, expert PowerShell scripting, MDT to SCCM migration, AD/PKI/SCOM/SQL automation, experience with DISM/DSC/driver packaging, and familiarity with enterprise security technologies.
Deliverables include modernized PowerShell scripts, SCCM task sequences, validated driver/application packages, and deployment documentation.
