Job Specifications

Phase 1 – Training & Modernization of System Documentation

The first part of the internship focuses on understanding the current Telehandler software/system architecture, through:

Reviewing existing system & software documentation
Understanding current software behavior, interfaces, and functions
Extracting and structuring stakeholders’ requirements
Translating legacy documents into a new, standardized documentation format
Preparing documentation and specifications for reuse in the new architecture currently under development

This phase will require interaction with system engineers, software engineers, and domain experts.

Phase 2 – Contribution to System / Software Improvements

Based on the knowledge acquired in Phase 1, the trainee will:

Define system architecture elements and their interactions
Write and refine software requirements
Propose improvements or optimizations for selected functions
Apply lessons learned and best practices from previous projects discussed with domain experts

Depending on progress and interest, the trainee may also support functional analysis or participate in validation reviews.

Required Skills

Education

4ᵉ or 5ᵉ year student in Embedded Systems, Electronics, Mechatronics, or similar.

Technical Skills

Basic understanding of embedded systems and software architecture
Interest in system engineering and requirements management
Ability to read functional diagrams and system specifications
Knowledge of tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, SysML, or requirement management platforms (e.g., Polarion, Doors) is a plus
Awareness of automotive/off‑road machine architectures (CAN, LIN, I/O mappings, behaviors) is appreciated

Curiosity and willingness to dive into complex technical topics
Analytical mindset and structured thinking
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Autonomy and initiative when facing new challenges
