What you will do :

You will lead the data strategy to transform massive raw data into actionable business insights and intelligent product features. As the technical and managerial referent for the Data department, you will bridge the gap between Data Engineering, Analytics, and Machine Learning.

In this role, you will:

Set the technical strategy for the data platform, including lakehouse architecture, tracking, and CDP integration.
Define standards for SQL and DBT expertise, code reviews, and architecture patterns to ensure data quality and reliability.
Help define and manage the tracking plan to ensure complete coverage of all features.
Lead effective collaboration with Product Managers, Executive Commitee and stakeholders to drive data-informed decisions.
Build talent density by recruiting, conducting technical interviews, and mentoring a high-performing team of Analytics and Machine Learning engineers.
Establish and monitor operational metrics, including FinOps (AWS cost optimization) and data pipeline performance.
Drive Product Innovation by implementing Recommender Systems, Deep Learning models, and Gen AI solutions.
Evangelize data-driven methodologies across all departments to foster a self-service culture.

Key Data & Metrics you will handle

Supporting 19M users and 130k Daily Active Users (DAU), you will steer our strategic roadmap by overseeing a comprehensive range of metrics:

Business Macro KPIs: Monitor and forecast Revenue (CA), ARR, MRR, Margin, and LTV across our ecosystem of Users, Creators, Ambassadors.
Marketing Performance & Analysis: Evaluate the marketing mix by identifying the best acquisition and retentions methods for all kind of users.
Predictive Modeling: Implement sophisticated alerting systems and scoring models to identify user fragility and subscription potential.
Deep-dive & Cohort Analysis: Conduct granular analyses of User, Creator, and Ambassador cohorts based on acquisition channels, devices, geography, and spending habits.
User Lifecycle & Funnel: Analyze retention rates and monitor the full funnel from acquisition and engagement to long-term loyalty.
Global Usage Patterns: Synthesize global platform usage data to provide evidence-based arguments for product evolution.

Who you will work with :

We focus on feature delivery within our squad organization. A squad is composed of a Product Manager, a Product Designer, a Technical Lead, and Back-end, Front-end, and QA engineers as usual but also Analytics and Machine Learning Engineers as appropriate.

As the Lead Data, you will:

Guide the teams in the design and architecture of their deliverables/solutions integrating Data. You share ownership of the platform’s data schema with the back-end team.
Partner with the Product Manager to engage with the squad and the stakeholders and define the appropriate technical and product strategy.
Share technical expertise and technology watch, and upskill technical teams through internal training programs.
Present advanced business insights and data syntheses to stakeholders (especially Executive Committee) using factual, evidence-based arguments.
Participate in the Tech Leaders' Community of Practice.

What we are looking for :

Leadership experience

You have experience leading a team of both Analytics and Machine Learning Engineers with a track record of establishing excellence standards.

You are a recognized leader, capable of managing budgets and fostering collective intelligence.

Technical foundation

High-Volume Expertise: You have built resilient systems in high-traffic environments and know how to optimize for scale. Analytics & Statistics: Strong expertise in Descriptive/Inferential Statistics and A/B Testing. Predictive Power: Proven experience in predictive analysis and scenario building to guide business strategy. Modern Data Stack: Deep knowledge of AWS environments, Python, and BI tools.
