Endpoint Engineer

Role Summary
Sompo is seeking an Endpoint Engineer to design, implement, and support Microsoft Intune and enterprise endpoint environments (physical and virtual devices). This role will manage endpoint lifecycle, security, and compliance for 1K+ devices, ensuring seamless operations for nearly all users.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Intune solutions for Windows and mobile endpoints.
Lead integration of endpoints from multiple tenants into a common tenant (e.g., OneDrive).
Develop automated solutions for software deployment, patching, and Windows 11 provisioning using Intune Autopilot.
Manage Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and endpoint security configurations.
Provide escalation-level support and root cause analysis for Desktop Operations teams.
Collaborate with other engineering teams to implement enterprise endpoint solutions.
Maintain documentation, knowledge base, and support guides for endpoint systems.
Technical Qualifications
8+ years overall IT experience, with 5+ years in Microsoft Intune design and deployment.
5+ years as a system engineer with enterprise desktop engineering experience.
Expertise in Windows 11, Active Directory, Group Policy, patch management, and endpoint protection.
Experience with VDI (Azure Virtual Desktop preferred), SQL Server basics, and application packaging/testing.
Strong skills in Intune, endpoint security, and device lifecycle management.

Self-motivated and eager to learn.
Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
