Gridworks is hiring a Full-Stack Platform Developer to help create and expand a proprietary business intelligence platform that powers strategic decision-making across the organization. You’ll work directly with executives, owners, and cross-functional teams to turn complex operational and financial challenges into scalable software solutions.

Position Overview
This role will serve as a primary application developer on a modern platform built with Next.js, React, and PostgreSQL, hosted within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
A third-party partner manages core Azure infrastructure, allowing this role to focus on:
Application development
Product delivery
Business-facing problem solving
Success in this position requires strong technical execution, sound judgment, and adaptability in an environment where needs may evolve as the platform grows.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL
Design and implement scalable APIs and data models
Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
Collaborate directly with stakeholders across departments, including executives and owners
Contribute to platform architecture, feature development, and system improvements
Maintain code quality through version control, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows
Help shape the long-term evolution of the company’s internal business intelligence platform
Additional Context
This is a foundational developer role with meaningful ownership and visibility. The successful candidate will help shape the platform from initial deployment through future expansion.
The role requires regular collaboration with internal stakeholders across the company and comfort receiving direct feedback from senior leaders, executives, and owners.
The platform will begin with a Financial Forecasting module and expand into CRM and Market Intelligence, making flexibility and comfort with evolving scope especially important.
Architecture and deployment blueprints are already in place, and a third-party partner manages core Azure infrastructure, allowing this role to remain focused on application development and business-facing platform delivery.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Modern web development - 3+ years of professional experience building web applications with React and TypeScript.
Full-stack framework experience - Strong experience with Next.js or a comparable modern full-stack JavaScript framework.
Database expertise - Experience designing and working with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
API development - Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
Collaborative engineering practices - Familiarity with Git, pull requests, and CI/CD workflows.
Independent ownership - Ability to work independently as a primary contributor on a small, high-impact team.
Stakeholder partnership - Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly and effectively with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executives and owners.
Adaptability - Proven ability to be flexible, responsive, and successful in a fast-moving environment with evolving business needs and shifting priorities.
Business translation - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into thoughtful technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant framework depth - Experience with Next.js App Router, Prisma ORM, and/or monorepo architecture.
Identity and access integrations - Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or enterprise SSO implementations.
Frontend tooling - Experience with Tailwind CSS and building responsive, data-rich user interfaces.
Microsoft ecosystem integration - Experience integrating with Microsoft 365, including Entra ID and Microsoft Graph API.
Azure application services - Working knowledge of services such as App Service, Blob Storage, Key Vault, or Application Insights.
Domain alignment - Experience in business intelligence, financial systems, SaaS platforms, data visualization, or the energy and renewables sector.
