3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer (Azure) – Permanent

Salary: £55,000–£60,000 per annum

Location: Home-based with 1 day per week in Hereford and occasional travel to London

We are looking for an experienced 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer with strong Azure expertise to join a growing technical team. This role combines hands-on support, infrastructure design, and cloud engineering across modern Microsoft environments and hybrid infrastructures.

Key Skills

Microsoft Azure – deployment, management and optimisation of cloud infrastructure
Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Azure AD) – identity management, conditional access and tenant security
Intune and Windows Autopilot – device management and zero-touch deployments
Windows Server and Active Directory administration
Virtualisation platforms such as VMware
Networking and security including firewalls, VPNs, VLANs and network design
Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments

Responsibilities

Provide 3rd line technical support across cloud and infrastructure environments
Design, deploy and improve Azure and Microsoft 365 solutions
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and networking issues
Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations and new deployments
Produce technical documentation, solution designs and infrastructure diagrams
Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing

About You

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Able to communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of complex technical issues
Full UK driving licence required (own car preferred)
