GRC Manager
London/Hybrid
We build and operate UK AI infrastructure powered by renewable energy, converting industrial sites into data centres for healthcare, research, finance, and public-sector clients.
The Role
We are hiring a GRC Manager to build and run our governance, risk, and compliance programme. You will ensure our platform meets UK/EU regulations (EU AI Act, GDPR, HIPAA, DORA) and the needs of regulated and public sector clients with strict security and sovereignty requirements.
You will embed GRC controls across data centre, energy, and GPU environments, working closely with engineering, security, legal, and operations. You’ll provide assurance to customers, auditors, and regulators in a fast-growing, mission-led AI business.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain GRC frameworks and track regulatory changes (EU AI Act, GDPR, CCPA, DORA).
Run corporate risk management, maintain the risk register, and escalate material risks.
Support ISO 27001, ISMS, BMS, and manage audits and evidence.
Partner with Operations, Facilities, and Engineering on risk and compliance.
Improve GRC processes, tooling, and reporting; embed a risk-aware culture.
Essential Experience
GRC or assurance role in IT/cloud services for regulated or infrastructure-heavy environments.
Hands-on ISO 27001/9001 support in live operations.
Strong knowledge of UK/EU regulations (GDPR, NIS, DORA).
Familiarity with UK government high assurance and CNI requirements.
Experience with external audits and operational risk in technical/facilities settings.
Ability to establish cyber incident response playbooks.
Advantageous
Led or shaped a GRC programme.
Experience with SOC 2, PCI DSS.
Background in data centres, HPC, cloud, or telecoms.
Supported customer due diligence.
Experience with physical security or operational resilience.
Scaled GRC in a growing company.
