Job Specifications

Our $40BN AUM hedge fund client are building their technology resources out in NYC after a period of strong returns.

This SRE hire will shape the reliability strategy, tooling, and culture across the business from trading to technology.

Team covers their hybrid infrastructure (cloud and on-prem), improving uptime, observability, and performance for critical trading systems while partnering closely with Quant Researchers, DevOps and Cloud engineers.

Your impact:

Define SRE practices, standards, and service reliability expectations
Build and operate observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, OpenTelemetry)
Enhance Kubernetes workloads for resilience, efficiency, and scalability
Automate deployments, monitoring, and incident recovery
Introduce SLOs and lead blameless post-incident reviews

What you need:

5+ years in SRE, platform engineering, or production operations
Strong Linux troubleshooting/systems engineering
Strong Kubernetes and containerisation (Docker) experience
Hands-on AWS and on-prem infrastructure exposure
Automation skills in Python, Bash, or Go
