With a skilled workforce, we take pride in our people as much as our products. We're looking for an experienced Sr. Systems Administrator to join our team.
This role will provide comprehensive technical support for the organization's computer systems and network infrastructure. This role combines traditional systems administration with network responsibilities, including implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise-class networks and systems. The position requires expertise in both on-premises and cloud environments, with a focus on ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of IT infrastructure.
What You Will Do
Systems Administration
Deploys, maintains, and cares for all aspects of server infrastructure.
Provides technical support identifying, investigating, and resolving users' problems with computer hardware, software, and peripherals
Utilizes online tools and collaborates with other staff to research and resolve problems
Deploys and supports Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) tools.
Conducts a program of ongoing preventative maintenance and patching of systems and equipment
Serves as the responsible stakeholder for assigned projects including coordination of internal and external resources
Provides basic project management for hardware, software, and systems installations and upgrades
Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends

General Responsibilities
Collaborates with systems and network administrators to explain errors and/or recommend modifications to systems and networks
Develops and maintains network disaster recovery and business continuity plans for their areas of responsibility.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field, OR a heavy portfolio of current certifications in relevant work areas.
Alternative: 6 years of additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement (i.e., with degree requires 4 years of experience; without degree requires 10 years of experience)
Minimum: 4 years of related systems administration and network experience
Network-Specific: At least 2 years of hands-on experience with enterprise network support, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Technical Certifications: Industry certifications (with documentation) strongly encouraged.
Physical Requirements
Must be willing to work on premises full-time with no hybrid arrangements during normal work hours
Must have reliable home internet access for occasional work outside normal working hours
Must be available for occasional weekend or evening work due to implementations, maintenance windows, or emergency break/fix situations
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times, work on a ladder occasionally for equipment installation and able to access various departments and network closets throughout the facility
May need to travel up to 10%.
