Future Tech Leaders is a dedicated education non-profit focused on empowering and inspiring youth by teaching technology and computer science skills, primarily to students from underserved communities. Our mission is to cultivate the next generation of leaders in technology, while fostering diversity and improving economic mobility. We offer programs in data analytics, cybersecurity, UX/UI design, and machine learning to equip students for success in a technology-driven world.

Role Description This role is fully remote. The Development and Grants Intern will assist the team in researching, writing, and managing grant proposals and other fundraising initiatives. The intern will gain hands on experience supporting our nonprofit development operations, helping secure funding for programs that impact youth in technology education.

Responsibilities:

Assist with research for grant opportunities, foundations, and corporate giving programs
Draft and edit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents
Maintain a grants calendar and track submission deadlines
Help organize fundraising campaigns and donor communications
Collect and organize program data for grant reporting
Contribute ideas for new fundraising initiatives and partnerships

Qualifications:

Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
Research and analytical skills to identify potential funding opportunities
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Interest in nonprofit development, grant writing, or fundraising
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field

Additional Information:

Internship is for college credit only and is not paid
Expected commitment: 15 hours/week
