Job Summary:

We are seeking a Junior BI Data Analyst to join our growing analytics team in Newark, New Jersey. This role is ideal for recent graduates on F-1 Student Visa (OPT/CPT) who are eager to start their careers in data analytics and business intelligence. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to analyze data, develop reports, and build dashboards that support data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical mindset, basic experience with data visualization tools, and a willingness to learn BI technologies and data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, clean, and analyze business data from multiple sources.
Develop interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from relational databases.
Assist in creating data models and reporting solutions to support business operations.
Monitor data quality and perform data validation to ensure accurate reporting.
Work with cross-functional teams including business, IT, and operations to understand reporting requirements.
Support ad-hoc data analysis and generate insights to improve business performance.
Document reports, dashboards, and data processes for internal use.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
Data Analytics
Business Analytics
Computer Science
Information Systems
Statistics
Engineering or related field
Recent graduate (0–1 year's of experience).
Valid F-1 Student Visa with OPT/CPT authorization.
Basic knowledge of SQL for data querying.
Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI visualization tools.
Basic understanding of data analysis concepts and reporting metrics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and documentation skills.]

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to Python or R for data analysis.
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Data Analysis tools).
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or Snowflake) is a plus.
Internship or academic project experience in data analytics or business intelligence.
