Systems Accountant – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Cheadle, Manchester | £41,650–£56,000 / up to £59,800 for exceptional candidates | Hybrid / Primarily Office-Based
Are you ready to take ownership of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central within a growing ERP function? This is a unique opportunity to act as the SME for Business Central, supporting finance processes, system configuration, and full lifecycle ERP projects in a mission-driven, client-focused environment.
The Role
Support full end-to-end Business Central implementation and configuration.
Collaborate closely with the Finance team to design workflows, automation, and internal controls.
Translate finance requirements into system solutions.
Manage testing cycles, system upgrades, and post-live support.
Deliver training and documentation for end-users.
Support integration between Salesforce and Business Central.
Manage data reconciliation and system improvements.
Work across full project lifecycles: requirements gathering → configuration → testing → go-live → post-live support.
What You’ll Bring
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Strong understanding of finance processes and internal controls.
Ability to translate business requirements into system solutions.
Experience supporting system upgrades, testing, and ongoing user support.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in finance or accounting.
Experience working independently across departments.
Desirable: Accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA / ACA), Microsoft certifications, advanced Excel, familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, Agile delivery exposure.

Initial 1-year fixed-term contract with potential to become permanent.
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday. Flexible core hours: 10:00–16:00, standard hours 09:00–17:00.
Primarily office-based in Cheadle, Manchester; hybrid working possible.
