Technical Cyber Architect

UK | Hybrid | Security Clearance Required

A large UK organisation operating within the communications and digital infrastructure sector is looking to hire a Technical Cyber Security Architect to join their Cyber & Infrastructure team.

This is a key role focused on strengthening enterprise cyber security architecture, helping to protect complex technology environments from evolving cyber threats. You’ll work closely with the Security Operations Centre and wider architecture teams to design secure cloud and network solutions, identify vulnerabilities, and improve automation across security processes.

Key Responsibilities

Design secure enterprise cloud, network, and end-user environments
Configure and manage Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, and Conditional Access (Entra ID)
Support WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi network architecture and security
Conduct threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and incident response
Analyse logs using Kusto Query Language
Automate security tasks and workflows
Collaborate with SOC and technology teams to identify and remediate cyber risks
Support PCI-DSS compliance and security best practices across the organisation

Tech Environment

Azure | Microsoft Sentinel | Entra ID | Defender for Cloud | Cisco Umbrella | Nessus | KQL | Power Automate | SCCM | Intune | SQL | Power BI | Python / C# / C++

Requirements

Strong Azure and enterprise cyber security architecture experience
Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Azure Security (SC-100 / SC-200) desirable
CCNA-level networking knowledge or equivalent
Experience with incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management
SC Clearance (or eligibility) required
