Job Description

**Job Title** Data Modeler **Role Summary** Lead the design and delivery of enterprise data products from heterogeneous, unstructured source data. Build domain models, taxonomies, and metadata that enable discoverable, governance‑ready data assets on Snowflake for API and feed consumption. **Expectations** * Rapid delivery: ship thin‑slice products within weeks while maintaining stable schemas. * Governance: establish actionable change‑control and de‑risk processes that teams can adopt. * Collaboration: partner with Product and Engineering to define user personas, success metrics, and data product contracts. **Key Responsibilities** * Design conceptual, logical, and physical models for issuer, instrument, and event domains. * Define and enforce data product contracts (JSON schemas, SLAs, versioning) and lineage via Collibra/Atlan/DataHub. * Build Snowflake marts, anchors, and KPI dashboards showing adoption, latency, and completeness. * Harmonise documents/filings/events with structured entities, producing confidence scores and provenance. * Coach technical squads on domain boundaries, key selection, SCDs, and PII handling. * Maintain metadata, glossary, and central data assets for discoverability. * Communicate clearly with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data artifacts. **Required Skills** * 8+ years in data modelling/architecture and production data product delivery. * Expertise in Snowflake (or comparable cloud DW) and advanced SQL. * Proven experience with contract‑first design, data product contracts, and lineage/metadata tools (Collibra, Atlan, DataHub). * Strong ability to transform unstructured data into structured models, including confidence scoring and traceability. * Excellent stakeholder communication and coaching skills. **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). * Preferred certifications: Snowflake Certified Data Engineer, Data Modeling Fundamentals, or similar.
