Job Title: Data Architect
Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain enterprise data architecture, data models, and data warehouse solutions, while ensuring robust data governance and efficient ETL processes within a contractual engagement.
Expectations: • Deliver comprehensive data architecture designs that align with business objectives. • Ensure data quality, security, and governance standards are upheld. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate analytical requirements into technical solutions. • Independently manage project deliverables and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect enterprise data models and conceptual, logical, and physical schemas.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions (e.g., OLAP, data marts).
- Build and optimize ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
- Implement and enforce data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
- Work with stakeholders to define data requirements, KPIs, and reporting needs.
- Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and solution scalability reviews.
- Provide documentation, maintenance procedures, and support for data architecture artifacts.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in data architecture and data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical).
- Strong knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
- Proficiency with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., SQL Server Integration Services, Informatica, Talend, or equivalent).
- Experience designing and managing data warehouse and BI solutions.
- Advanced SQL and data query optimization skills.
- Analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Self‑motivated, capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CDMP, MCSE: Data Management, TDWI, or equivalent) are advantageous.
