Web Specialist (GA4/GTM)
**Role Summary**
Contractual lead for Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager implementations, ensuring accurate, reliable behavioral analytics across web and app platforms, governing measurement strategy, documentation, and data governance.
**Expectations**
- 12‑month contract, onsite Toronto.
- Deliver precise tracking, data quality, and actionable insights to support product launches, feature enhancements, and marketing campaigns.
- Serve as subject‑matter expert for digital analytics implementation and governance.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Lead GA4 and GTM implementation projects, translating measurement needs into tagging specifications and schemas.
2. Ensure consistent tracking across sites and apps to support product launches, enhancements, campaigns, and enterprise reporting.
3. Create and maintain tagging documentation, measurement plans, and implementation guides for developers.
4. Govern and QA behavioral analytics tracking to preserve data integrity, compliance, and reliability.
5. Partner with Product, UX, Development, and Marketing to embed measurement into new features and customer journeys before launch.
6. Monitor digital performance, analyze funnels, journeys, feature adoption, and UX improvement opportunities.
7. Deliver dashboards, insights, and reporting via Looker and Power BI, providing actionable recommendations.
8. Act as SME for digital analytics implementation, continuously improving tagging governance and data‑quality processes.
**Required Skills**
- 5+ years digital analytics implementation in enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise in GA4: event modeling, custom dimensions/metrics, enhanced measurement, cross‑platform tracking.
- Advanced GTM experience (web and/or server‑side): tag configuration, debugging, testing, publishing workflows, governance.
- Proven ability to create measurement plans, technical specs, and developer guides.
- Strong understanding of behavioral analytics: funnels, user journeys, event‑based tracking, interaction analysis.
- Cross‑functional collaboration in agile product teams.
- Proficiency with BI tools such as Looker and Power BI.
- Desirable: SQL or Python for data validation and reporting integration.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- No mandatory certifications; professional Google Analytics certifications (GA4) preferred.
