Job Description
Job title: DevOps Engineer Role Summary: DevOps Engineer within a Platform team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining reliable, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure and applications. Collaborates closely with Software Engineers, Architects, and SREs to enable rapid delivery and ensure platform stability. Expectations: Deliver high‑availability cloud platforms; enforce engineering standards; develop and evolve CI/CD pipelines; implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC); operate public cloud environments (GCP, Azure, or AWS); and work with SRE and Security teams to maintain platform resilience and security. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain secure, highly available cloud infrastructure and services. - Define and enforce platform engineering standards to accelerate delivery for development teams. - Create, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using modern tools. - Implement IaC using Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent at scale. - Operate and manage infrastructure on public cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS). - Collaborate with SRE and Security teams to safeguard platform stability and compliance. - Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve platform performance and reliability. Required Skills: - Proven DevOps engineering experience with solid platform engineering principles. - Expertise in CI/CD pipeline design, tooling, and automation. - Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and modern configuration tools (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.). - Knowledge of microservices, distributed, event‑driven architectures. - Strong shell scripting skills (Bash or PowerShell). - Experience with Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (desirable). - Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Azure Active Directory, and Azure application performance monitoring tools (desirable). - Understanding of cloud security best practices and governance. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Relevant certifications preferred: Azure/AWS/GCP Certified DevOps Engineer or Architect, Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Terraform Associate.
