Job Title: Java Developer Role Summary: Develop and maintain enterprise Java microservices for a long‑term investment platform, delivering high‑quality, scalable solutions using Spring, REST APIs, Kafka, NoSQL persistence, and Kubernetes orchestration. Expectations: - Work independently within a distributed Agile team. - Own end‑to‑end development from design to deployment. - Apply TDD, automated testing, and secure coding best practices. - Continuously enhance technical skills and contribute to process improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Design, code, test, and deploy Spring Boot microservices. - Build and expose RESTful APIs and Kafka event streams. - Implement persistence with MongoDB and caching layers. - Containerise services using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes. - Write unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests (JUnit, Mockito, etc.). - Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives. - Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and product stakeholders to meet delivery objectives. Required Skills: - Java (Java SE), Spring Boot/Spring MVC, Spring Data. - REST API design and microservice architecture. - Kafka event streaming and message broker integration. - NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and caching (Redis or equivalent). - Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines. - Test‑driven development, automated testing frameworks. - Agile/Scrum development practices. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE; Spring Professional) are advantageous.
