Job Title: Senior Marketing Consultant

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract – 12 months

Location: Edinburgh or Glasgow or Alderley Park or London

Working Style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

Closing Date: 5th February 2026

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Marketing Consultant to join our Adviser Marketing Team at Royal London. The role holder will manage the development and delivery of market leading campaigns and content that support the overall Brand and Marketing (B&M) strategy, with a particular focus on delivering Account Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns that support the acquisition on new business. You’ll be responsible for delivering consistently high quality, innovative and targeted communications that engage, enthuse and inform our target audiences. Leading cross-functional campaign teams, you’ll work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of marketing activity. Through the analysis of data and insight, you’ll set campaign objectives, monitor activity and measure impact, adjusting as appropriate. You’ll report to the Senior Marketing Manager and other relevant senior stakeholders across the business.

 

More about the role:

Plan, develop and deliver compelling marketing campaigns that achieve meaningful impact, using the most effective media and communication channels.
Ensure marketing activity supports the delivery of new business targets and other key strategic objectives, including building awareness of the Royal London brand.
Day-to-day responsibility for major campaigns and initiatives including delivery planning, resource alignment and budget responsibility.
Agree alignment of segmentation, engagement strategy and key messaging with Distribution colleagues, supporting an Account Based Marketing (ABM) approach.
Set clear campaign objectives and measures that align with commercial targets.
Use data and insights to continuously test, learn and optimise marketing activity.
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver marketing to chosen audience groups, working with stakeholders across the B&M function, other parts of the business and external agencies.
Identify and deploy the key internal specialists and external suppliers (including creative and media agencies) required to support specific campaigns and manage these relationships through to successful delivery.
Work with other business areas to identify sales opportunities and turn these into compelling messages and ABM campaigns.
Development and delivery of all supporting marketing collateral.

 

More about you:

Experience of planning and delivering large integrated marketing campaigns, effectively managing budgets and risks.
Previous experience of Account Based Marketing (ABM).
Excellent understanding of marketing communication tools and techniques, including paid media.
Good knowledge of the Life and Pensions industry, our propositions and Distribution model.
Understanding of B2B markets.
Experience handling data to the appropriate level of security both internally and externally, in line with Data Protection standards.
Excellent communication, project and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working in the financial services industry and understanding the legislative framework.
Strong experience of marketing planning and development.
Strong understanding of how to apply brand and language guidelines
