Job Description
**Job Title** Senior Business Development Manager – Ocean & Air Freight **Role Summary** Drive 100 % new freight business across North regions, selling ocean and air services to retail, e-commerce, electronics, aerospace and related sectors. Target senior supply‑chain stakeholders to achieve ≥£200k gross profit annually. **Expectations** - Generate all new business within the assigned region. - Deliver £200k+ GP each year. - Maintain high‑level relationships with COO, CFO, Supply Chain Directors. - Accept occasional international travel. **Key Responsibilities** - Prospect, qualify, and close new ocean and air freight clients. - Build and manage a robust sales pipeline. - Negotiate terms, pricing and contracts with senior decision‑makers. - Forecast and report sales targets and GP to leadership. - Collaborate with operations and customer service to ensure delivery excellence. - Represent the company at trade shows, industry events and customer meetings. **Required Skills** - Proven sales and business development in freight or logistics (≥3 years). - Strong B2B selling, negotiation and stakeholder management. - Deep understanding of ocean freight; air freight experience is a plus. - Self‑driven, entrepreneurial mindset with high autonomy. - Results‑oriented, able to meet and exceed GP targets. - Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain or related field preferred. - Relevant freight or logistics certifications (e.g., CFI, CEFR) are advantageous but not mandatory.

**Job Title:** Territory Account Manager **Role Summary:** Manage and grow an established portfolio of retail customers within a specified territory, driving sales through strategic account management, upselling, and brand promotion for a leading FMCG tobacco brand. **Expectations:** - No cold‑calling; focus on nurturing existing client relationships. - Meet or exceed sales targets and quarterly revenue goals. - Develop and maintain strong partnerships with independent retailers, grocery, franchise stores, and petrol forecourts. - Demonstrate professionalism, strong communication, and a results‑oriented attitude. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct regular visits to assigned retail accounts within the territory. - Identify and capitalize on upselling and cross‑selling opportunities. - Launch and promote new product launches, ensuring product knowledge is shared with clients. - Manage product inventories and coordinate replenishment with store managers. - Record sales activity, provide accurate forecast data, and submit weekly sales reports. - Build and maintain a comprehensive client database and maintain current market intelligence. - Provide brand and product training to retail staff as needed. - Collaborate with marketing and supply‑chain teams to resolve client issues and improve service. **Required Skills:** - Field sales / outside sales experience; B2B account management preferred. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships. - Negotiation and closing skills. - Self‑motivated, goal‑driven and able to manage time effectively. - Proficient in using MS Office and CRM systems. - Strong analytical ability to interpret sales data and forecast trends. - Willingness to travel within the territory and occasional overnight stays. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Valid driving licence. - High‑school diploma or equivalent; higher education (degree) preferred but not mandatory. - Any sales, marketing, or business qualification is an advantage.
