**Job Title**
Senior Engineer
**Role Summary**
Lead and supervise multi‑disciplinary engineering projects in utility‑scale solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and power generation. Provide technical oversight from early design through commissioning, ensuring design integrity, compliance, safety, and cost‑effective delivery.
**Expectations**
- 11–15 years of experience in technical leadership on major energy or infrastructure projects.
- 11+ years PLC programming (Schneider Electric preferred).
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
- Travel support up to 25 % for commissioning.
- 1 year contract, remote with periodic travel.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Plan, organize, and manage engineering projects, balancing cost, reliability, safety, and performance.
- Supervise and mentor engineering teams across electrical, mechanical, civil, and MOV valve disciplines.
- Conduct detailed design reviews, technical assessments, and compliance verification for power delivery and energy projects.
- Coordinate permitting, regulatory, and safety approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee FAT/SAT testing, field implementation, and commissioning activities, ensuring deliverables (PPA, LGIA, OEM tests) are met.
- Negotiate and manage stakeholder expectations to maintain project integrity.
**Required Skills**
- Electrical: distribution systems, power system engineering, ladder logic, safe‑shutdown analysis, ETAP, EDISON.
- Mechanical: pumps, valves, heat exchangers, pipe stress analysis, ASME standards.
- Civil/Structural: foundation design, site grading, drainage, seismic qualification, pipe supports, welding, rigging.
- MOV Valve: diagnostics, troubleshooting, valve program management.
- PLC programming (Schneider Electric), Modbus, DNP3, and industrial communication protocols.
- SCADA/HMI: Ignition development.
- BESS control, inverter technologies, energy storage systems knowledge.
- Grid interconnection requirements and utility standards.
- FAT/SAT testing, commissioning support, PPA/LGIA/OEM deliverables.
- Analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation proficiency.
- NERC CIP cybersecurity awareness (preferred).
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
