**Job title:** Senior Data Scientist – Global Insurance
**Role Summary:**
Lead the creation and deployment of predictive models and analytics solutions that inform pricing, underwriting, claims, and customer behavior strategies for a global insurance business. Own the end‑to‑end model lifecycle, mentor junior analysts, and translate complex data findings into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
**Expectations:**

- Shape and evolve the organization’s predictive modeling strategy.
- Deliver measurable business impact through model deployment and monitoring.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop advanced statistical and machine‑learning models, including time‑series forecasting for pricing and loss prediction.
- Manage the full model lifecycle: data procurement, feature engineering, modeling, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, pricing, and engineering teams to translate data into actionable insights.
- Mentor and coach junior data scientists; set technical standards and best practices.
- Communicate results via visualizations, reports, and presentations to senior stakeholders.
- Utilize large‑scale datasets to improve pricing accuracy, fraud detection, claims optimization, and customer segmentation.
**Required Skills:**
- Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, scikit‑learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow) or R; strong SQL expertise.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big‑data technologies (Spark, Databricks, Hadoop).
- Hands‑on experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Solid knowledge of machine‑learning, statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and time‑series forecasting.
- Ability to convey complex technical findings to non‑technical audiences.
- Background in insurance analytics (pricing, risk modeling, loss prediction, fraud detection) preferred.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Relevant certifications in data science, machine learning, or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, Azure Data Scientist Associate) are an asset.
