Job Description - Roles and Responsibilities
The Company's mission is to ensure the protection of people who risk persecution or serious harm if returned to their country of origin. In accordance with Belgian, European, and international standards, the Company examines each application for international protection individually, objectively, and impartially.
A modernization program has been launched within the Company, translated into the eDossier program. It is a highly ambitious program, comprising several projects with a very tight schedule.
One of the profiles we are looking for is a Solution Engineer - Scrum/Agile Delivery Master. We are not looking for an agile coach. We are looking for a solution engineer with Java cloud engineering training and very strong experience as a scrum/agile delivery master.
Those seeking a pure lead and/or pure consultant role are asked to refrain. The focus is on practical coordination, monitoring, adjustment, design, and implementation. Those looking for 4 days of teleworking will also be disappointed. To foster team spirit, we ask our employees to be present in the office 3 days a week.
Continuously train to stay up to date with the latest trends and sustainable innovations in development, focusing primarily on software/solution developments that use structured and unstructured data in hybrid cloud environments.
Practical experience in design/definition and development of APIs,
Practical experience in the development of microservices and their integration,
Practical experience with event-oriented architecture and systems (event sourcing and event handling)
Practical experience in software design (cloud, API, microservices, eventing),
Practical experience as a scrum/agile delivery master, combined or not with the role of Java developer or software architect, in the context of software projects (greenfield) with the following technologies: API, microservices, eventing, and (native) cloud,
Practical experience in implementing agile frameworks, such as Safe and Less,
Practical experience with Azure Devops to manage agile delivery of software/solutions,
Ability to propose alternative solutions and make recommendations on the choices to be made, taking into account the entire context
Good listening skills, flexible attitude, and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Knowledge and use of behavior-driven or domain-driven design, development, and testing is an asset
Knowledge of the Angular framework is an asset

As a Solution Engineer, you will contribute to the achievement of the team's objectives. You will help CGRA deliver quality products to our customers. You will collaborate with other engineers, analysts, and stakeholders. Therefore, a commitment to solving problems together and designing and delivering cutting-edge products is essential.
As a Solution Engineer, you need to understand the entire IT design stack and solution, so you will guide the team in designing and developing secure and robust solutions, putting applications into production and maintaining the application in collaboration with other team members.
As a scrum master, you use your technical expertise and experience to contribute to all sprint events (planning, refinements, retrospectives, demos, daily). You are responsible for (contributing to) developing a medium- and long-term release schedule for the various initiatives. In doing so, you also take external dependencies into account. This allows you not only to focus on the short term, but also to make future-oriented projections.
You continuously develop your own expertise while collecting, updating and disseminating knowledge on new tools and practices within the team.
