Job Summary
Business Analyst / Project Coordinator
Lead requirements gathering and business process analysis for healthcare projects (clinical, regulatory, payer/provider, operational).
Document business processes, workflows, and translate needs into clear, actionable requirements (BRDs, FRDs, user stories) aligned to healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, HITECH, FDA, CMS).
Conduct gap analysis and propose process improvements for efficiency, compliance, and patient outcomes.
Support testing cycles by developing use cases, validation scripts, and acceptance criteria.
Coordinate schedules, deliverables, and dependencies for cross-functional healthcare teams under guidance of Project Manager.
Track project progress, maintain status reports, RAID logs, and facilitate stakeholder communications.
Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, stand-ups, and ensure teams remain aligned on priorities and timelines.
Assist with resource allocation, risk/issue tracking, and change management to ensure project alignment.
Serve as a liaison between clinical/business stakeholders, IT, and external vendors.
Develop and deliver executive-level PowerPoint presentations and Excel dashboards for tracking metrics and project status.
Support change management and end-user training by preparing materials, job aids, and user guides.
Utilize advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data modeling) and PowerPoint skills for reporting and presentations.
Use project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Trello); familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and basic SQL a plus.
Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills in a healthcare environment.
Ability to work independently with accountability, detail orientation, and structured follow-through.
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree/certifications (MBA, MHA, CBAP, PMP, CSM, Lean Six Sigma) preferred.
10+ years' experience as Business Analyst/Project Coordinator in healthcare, including large-scale transformation programs (EHR, ERP/CRM, data compliance).
Occasional travel may be required.
