Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Healthcare Business Analyst to support business operations, technology initiatives, and process improvements across the healthcare domain. You will collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT teams to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and deliver solutions that enhance patient care, ensure compliance, and improve efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, document, and analyze business and system requirements in healthcare areas such as payer, provider, claims, EHR/EMR, pharmacy, or regulatory compliance.
Translate stakeholder needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Partner with cross-functional teams--product managers, developers, QA, clinicians, and operations--to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
Analyze healthcare data, workflows, and reporting needs, ensuring HIPAA and other regulatory compliance.
Conduct gap analysis between current and future state processes.
Support system implementation, testing (UAT/SIT), and change management activities.
Create process flows, data mappings, and documentation for healthcare systems and applications.
Monitor performance metrics and prepare reports/dashboards for stakeholders.
Stay current with healthcare standards and trends (HL7, FHIR, ICD, CPT) and regulatory changes.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the healthcare industry.
Strong understanding of healthcare data standards, workflows, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Confluence.
