UX/UI DESIGNER - Brussels and Remote - French or Dutch speaking
(UX, UI)
Blue chip client is looking for a UX UI Designer
You must speak French or Dutch
Role is based 50% onsite Brussels and 50% remote.
What you will achieve (mission)
You translate the concepts received by concept designers into intuitive and high-quality user flows, using components to create screens that are user friendly and visually appealing. You balance usability, accessibility, and overall satisfaction to bridge the gap between user intent and business goals to deliver innovative user experiences.
What you will do (deliverables & responsibilities) You design all flow paths and screen states with a quality, goal-oriented outcome, and you own the digital user flow from a UXUI point of view.
You do so by:
Gathering input from stakeholders on user needs and technical feasibility Seeking inspiration from best-in-class examples both in & outside the financial sector Ensuring intuitive information hierarchy at screen level Designing high-fidelity mockups and prototypes Following up on user feedback gathered during usability tests Collaborating intensively with your dedicated ux copy writer to ensure a smooth integration of content in your design Actively using and contributing to the bank's design system: mobile native & web Mobile First Actively contributing to the UXUI community of practice (COP UXUI) where you ask & give help on projects, inspire others with your best practices and co-create patterns, standards & guidelines with your fellow designers
You take the lead in the refinement phase of the project and support the concept designer with potential visual support in the initial stages of the ideation phase.
You deliver prototypes and pixel-perfect screens, hand them over to the development squads, then follow up on their implementation with the Front End developers.
Who you are (skills & competences)
Your specialized knowledge (Craft skills)
You have a Mobile First mindset and are familiar with mobile native design (including a good understanding of Material Design and Human Interface Guidelines) You have Agile knowledge & are at ease with the Scrum development cycle You have an accessibility mindset and have a good knowledge of the WCAG-guidelines as well as their impact on designs & development You are a proficient user of the most common design tools (Figma, Zeplin, ) You know your way around design systems You understand and can consume components from a design system You can create and improve components when needed Understanding component properties is considered a plus
You understand the technical impact of your designs: having a (limited) Front End development background can be a plus You are good at documenting your work & developing briefs for researchers & developers who will take your designs to the next level.
You have a profound level of French or Dutch (C1-level) both in understanding, spoken & written language. Ideally one of them is your mother tongue You have a particularly good understanding (B1/2-level) of English. Being able to write and speak it is considered an important asset
