Technical Author - Cloud Migration and Cloud-Native Documentation
Location: Manchester
Contract Duration: 3 months

This is a *Manchester*based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on *Writing and maintaining clear technical documentation in Confluence*.
About the Role
Our client is looking for a Technical Author to support their cloud transformation. You will document and communicate projects as teams:
Migrate from on-premises systems to AWS Cloud
Build new cloud-native applications in AWS
You will organise the Confluence knowledge base, create user-friendly documentation, and help implement taxonomies and labelling for easy access.
Key Responsibilities
Write and maintain clear technical documentation in Confluence
Support cloud migration and cloud-native projects with technical content
Review existing documentation for accuracy and usability
Define and implement taxonomy, metadata, and labelling strategies
Collaborate with engineers and product teams to capture technical knowledge
Use Jira to manage documentation tasks
Skills and Experience
Essential:
Experience as a Technical Author or Technical Writer
Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud and cloud-native concepts
Experienced with Confluence and Jira
Ability to explain technical topics clearly
Skilled at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
Experience in large-scale digital transformations
IT infrastructure, DevOps, or cloud engineering background
Personal Attributes

Critical thinker who identifies improvements
Collaborative and confident with stakeholders
Combines strategic insight with practical execution
