Job Title: Graduate Java Developer - Finance

Location: Central London

Work Model: Hybrid

About the Role:

We are looking for a Junior Java Developer to join a fast-growing financial services company based in Central London. This role is perfect for a 2024 / 2025 Computer Science graduate or a junior developer with up to 1-3 years of commercial experience, interested in building technology solutions within the financial sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Java Development: Build and optimize Java applications for trading, risk management, and other financial tools.
Cloud Platforms: Deploy and manage applications using cloud platforms like AWS.
Performance Optimization: Focus on low-latency systems and memory management for high-performance applications.
Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers and traders to design technical solutions.
Finance Exposure: Gain hands-on experience with financial products and systems.

Required Skills:

Education: 1st or 2:1 degree in Computer Science or related field from a top-tier university (Oxbridge or Russell Group preferred).
Java: Strong understanding of Core Java (projects or commercial experience).
Cloud: Exposure to AWS or similar cloud platforms.
System Performance: Familiarity with low-latency Java development, garbage collection, and memory management.
Interest in Finance: Knowledge of or interest in Trading, Forex, and the financial sector.
