Our client, a leading London Market insurance group are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to design and deliver enterprise-level cloud solutions, with a focus on Microsoft Azure. You'll lead the technical vision, ensure alignment with business goals, and drive innovation across systems and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement cloud architecture using Microsoft Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, policies, and standards.
Lead design reviews and architecture boards, guiding technical decisions.
Provide technical leadership on projects, mentoring and supporting development teams.
Establish reusable architecture patterns and oversee their adoption.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with enterprise architecture and long-term strategy.
Drive innovation by introducing modern technologies and practices.
Skills & Experience
~7 years' experience in systems design, integration, or software development, with strong delivery background.
In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud services (PaaS, Containers, AKS, Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid).
Strong understanding of DevOps practices, agile delivery, and software life cycle.
Experience with enterprise integration, governance, and security best practices.
Technical expertise in web, service-based, and cloud architectures.
Knowledge of databases (MS SQL, Oracle) and ETL tools (eg, Informatica).
Proven track record of delivering solutions with measurable business outcomes.
Ability to coach, mentor, and influence technical teams.
