Role: QA Tester

Location: Toronto, ON (Downtown) — Hybrid (3 days/week Onsite)

Type: Long term Contract (Possible Extension)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced QA / Automation Tester / Functional Tester with strong hands-on testing experience across web and API-based applications. The ideal candidate will have solid functional testing, test case creation, execution, defect tracking, and familiarity working in Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for multiple applications.
Write and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
Execute test cycles and track defects using tools like JIRA / Azure DevOps.
Collaborate closely with BA, Developers, Product Owners and other QA team members.
Conduct API testing using tools like Postman / SOAP UI.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).

Required Skills:

6–8 years of experience in Manual / Functional Testing.
Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.
Experience testing web applications and REST APIs.
Good experience working in Agile / Scrum environment.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice to Have (Optional):

Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation.
Exposure to automation (Selenium / Cypress) is a plus.
