OT Compute Engineer – Midstream Operations
Location: "Remote"
Duration: Long-term contract

This role is only for consultants with any visa status; No C-2-C; Local candidates who can work on a W-2 only.
Pay Rate: $60-$65/hr. On W-2, the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Are you a seasoned infrastructure professional passionate about operational technology (OT)? Join our Midstream OT Compute team and help shape the future of industrial compute environments. We’re looking for a highly skilled OT Compute Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and support of virtualization and compute infrastructure in mission-critical OT environments.
What You’ll Do
Architect and manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Proxmox, Nutanix, etc.) and integrate with hybrid cloud environments.
Own the computer hardware lifecycle—from system design and capacity planning to deployment and decommissioning.
Manage and optimize SAN/NAS storage solutions, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Support datacenter systems, edge computing, and end-user devices.
Deploy and maintain industrial-grade hardware, including ruggedized and C1D2-rated systems.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across virtualization, storage, and hardware layers.
Lead infrastructure lifecycle activities (patching, upgrades) and maintain accurate documentation.
Collaborate in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment, aligning technical solutions with business goals.
What You Bring
Deep expertise in VMware technologies (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).
Proficiency with alternative hypervisors (e.g., Proxmox, Nutanix, Red Hat OpenShift).
Strong knowledge of storage technologies (SAN/NAS, RAID, multipathing).
Network Engineering ( Migration, Upgrades, Network Security)
Experience with hardware engineering and lifecycle management.
Skills in automation and scripting for infrastructure management. ( Python, Perl, PowerShell)
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-layered systems.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus Points For
Experience in industrial control systems (ICS) or OT environments.
Familiarity with industrial-grade compute platforms and specialized ICS hardware.
Knowledge of OT cybersecurity standards (e.g., ISA/IEC 62443, NERC CIP).
Exposure to cloud-native services and hybrid cloud architectures.
