Pay Rate: $65.00 -$75.00 per hour (Determined by experience, Weekly Pay)

Role Overview
BEPC is seeking a Senior IT Engineer to support one of our client’s most mission-critical and rapidly growing semiconductor manufacturing sites in Richardson, TX. This role is responsible for architecting, deploying, and supporting both IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology) systems that directly enable high-reliability semiconductor production.
You will operate in a modern, high-tech manufacturing environment driving next-generation infrastructure, including virtualization, Linux/Windows servers, hyper-converged systems, Kubernetes, AI-based automation, advanced process control (APC), and fault detection systems (FDC).
This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and want to be hands-on with cutting-edge infrastructure technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Server & Infrastructure Support
Provide operational support for on-premises server stacks, both virtual and physical.
Support VMware virtualization, vSAN, vSphere, VCF/NSX, and hyper-converged systems (e.g., Dell VXRail).
Troubleshoot performance issues related to physical and virtualized workloads.
Migrate workloads from physical servers to virtualized architectures.
Cloud-Native / DevOps Technologies
Support deployment and operations of Kubernetes and emerging container-based environments.
Work with Docker and automation tools (CHEF, JSON, PowerShell, Ruby, etc.).
Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code, server automation, and modernization initiatives.
Semiconductor Manufacturing IT/OT Integration
Collaborate with semiconductor process and equipment vendors to ensure optimal equipment performance and fault tolerance.
Participate in daily tier meetings with manufacturing operations and factory systems teams.
Support AI-based automation, advanced process control (APC), and fault detection (FDC) infrastructures.
Security & Compliance
Work with Corporate IT and Global Security to ensure all infrastructure meets cybersecurity and hardening standards.
Support backup, disaster recovery, and resilience strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Participate in cross-site and corporate troubleshooting calls.
Document infrastructure, automation scripts, and system configurations for operational continuity.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
5+ years supporting enterprise server ecosystems.
5+ years with Windows Server OS and RHEL Linux (5–9.x) administration.
3+ years with VMware virtualization (vSphere, vSAN, VCF/NSX).
3+ years experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
1+ years with Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration.
Experience with:
Server automation or IaC (Tanium, CHEF, JSON, PowerShell, Ruby).
Network fundamentals (VLANs, VPNs, DNS/DHCP, routing, switching).
Experience with:
Backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Writing and maintaining technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (MS) in IT, CS, Engineering, or related field.
Experience with:
Windows patching tools such as Tanium
OS hardening and security standards
Cisco Nexus & Catalyst network infrastructure
Data recovery tools (Rubrik, Veeam, Commvault, etc.)
IT/OT convergence environments
SCADA, MES, and industrial computing systems
Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
Proven ability to act as a change agent in fast-moving environments.
Highly self-driven, capable of operating independently.
