Internship Details to Know

The Kendra Scott Summer Internship Program offers a hands-on experience inside our rapidly growing multi-category fashion lifestyle brand. We value you. In our program, we are dedicated to shaping your unique interests and career aspirations, equipping you for success in your career and life.

 

Basics

The Kendra Scott Internship experience is a 9-week, paid program with the requirement to be in Austin, TX.  The internship will begin on June 1st and end July 30th. 
This is a full-time, 40/hour a week, in person opportunity.  This program will be offered at $17/hour.
Please apply to only one internship position that you are most interested in pursuing. 
Sponsorship and Relocation assistance is not currently provided.

Position Overview: 

Reporting to our Material and Product Integrity (MPI) Manager, our Product Development Intern will assist in all aspects of the development cycle for jewelry. We will work together to source raw materials, inclusive of gemstones, and develop innovative materials that meet product design intent, cost targets, brand identity and quality standards for high-volumes of jewelry. Additionally, this role will support with performing root cause analysis for quality concerns through inspecting finished good products. Main priorities will be material sample tracking, calendar management, vendor communication, and hands on product reviews. This intern will gain an overall understanding of development and how to commercialize a product with a focus on product integrity, material sourcing and innovation, and thoughtful product engineering processes.  

 

Responsibilities: 

Implements plans to achieve departmental priorities 

Work within our PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system to manage and organize material details, data, and communication with the suppliers 

Work with the manager to lead a full product development cycle on one category/assortment start to finish to holistically understand the sourcing and development processes from design to production 

Develop knowledge of gemstone sourcing and quality requirements for our jewelry 

Intern will develop soft skills required to communicate with global supply base and will be provided coaching for experience and growth
