Job Specifications

A PE backed, professional services business is seeking an experienced Interim Commercial Finance Business Partner to join their global finance team on an interim basis. This contract will be for a 6-month period, with the potential to go permanent. You will be required to work in the London office three days per week.

The successful candidate will take ownership of a complex financial model, work closely with the business to refine commercial strategy, and translate data into actionable insights that drive pricing, profitability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with senior leaders to develop, refine, and track the organisation’s commercial strategy.
Provide strategic insight into pricing, pipeline performance, and profitability to influence decision-making.
Conduct scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to evaluate strategic options and commercial opportunities.
Build and maintain forward-looking profitability models that integrate commercial and operational data.
Develop a suite of commercial reports and dashboards for senior leadership, the Board, and investors.
Use CRM and pipeline data (e.g. Salesforce) to generate actionable insights on client, project, and revenue trends.
Translate complex datasets into compelling visual and narrative outputs that inform strategic priorities.
Support the adoption of BI and analytics tools to strengthen decision support.

Skills & Experience Required:

Qualified accountant or Financial Analyst (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA etc) with strong commercial finance experience.
Proven experience in professional services or consultancy.
Advanced financial modelling skills and the ability to connect commercial data to business performance.
Proficient in BI or data visualisation tools and comfortable working with CRM/pipeline data.
