Here’s Where You’ll Be Focusing
Shapes and leads the national central production initiative portfolio, from definition through execution, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and measurable business outcomes
Leads cross-functional business case development for new sites and central production initiatives, including opportunity sizing, benefits articulation and alignment of investment with strategic goals
Partners with VP Central Production to define the central production strategy, network plan and initiative roadmap. Builds strong strategic relationships, facilitates decision-making, resolves conflicts, and influences alignment on priorities and next steps
Manages large-scale cross-functional site launches end-to-end, composed of multiple initiatives and workstreams, ensuring delivery on time, on budget and within scope
Develops and maintains integrated centralized production program plan, working across workstreams and initiatives to track dependencies, risks and critical decisions. Establishes and manages governance forums, including steering committees, executive updates, and working groups
Drives accountability among stakeholders and cross-functional teams, ensuring KPI targets are met, dependencies are managed, and progress is transparent to maintain momentum and deliver results
Supports executive decision-making by synthesizing complex information, framing strategic choices and providing clear, data-driven recommendations
Provides guidance and dotted-line leadership to junior team members, coaching and mentoring them to build capability, while overseeing execution and managing escalated risks, issues, and key decisions
Serves as a center of excellence for strategy development and program management, providing advice, guidance, and best practices to Merchandising and other functions
Champions a culture of continuous improvement by bringing a proactive, solution-oriented mindset to challenges, and ensuring lessons learned are applied across future initiatives
What You Have To Offer
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
Minimum 10 years of experience leading complex, cross-functional strategic programs
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification an asset
Knowledge of project management best practices, processes and tools
French language skills are an asset (The candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with peers in other provinces to develop procedures and processes to be implemented nationally. She will also have to interact regularly with her peers in other provinces, as well as provide support to Sobeys employees across Canada)
Effective communication and collaboration skills is necessary
