Akkodis is seeking a Python developer with Capital Market Experience for a contract position with a client in Toronto, ON (Hybrid). Ideally looking for experience with Hands-on experience with Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, Flask/Django, and API development. Experience in Capital Market and financial (Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income, FX preference would be someone with the required skills and experience, particularly in large organizations.

JD

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in Python development, preferably in a financial or capital markets environment.
Strong understanding of financial instruments (Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income, FX, etc.).
Hands-on experience with Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, Flask/Django, and API development.
Proficient in SQL and working with large datasets.
Experience working with market data systems (Bloomberg, Reuters, ICE, etc.) is an asset.
Familiarity with risk systems, trade lifecycle, or portfolio analytics.
Experience with Git, Jenkins, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
