Job Title – SLED Cybersecurity Account Executive

Location – Hybrid, based in the New York City Metro area

Role Type – Direct Hire

Must Have Skills:

5+ years of successful public sector (SLED) sales experience in the cybersecurity space
Experience selling cybersecurity services and/or working for a cybersecurity VAR or consulting firm
Strong knowledge of public sector procurement processes and contract vehicles
Deep network within SLED (State, Local & Education) organizations, especially in districts with 10K+ students
Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders

Responsibilities and Job Details:

Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract close, with emphasis on net new customer acquisition
Engage SLED prospects through outreach, product demonstrations, trials, and tailored presentations
Develop territory strategy to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals
Represent our client at industry events, conferences, and executive briefings to build presence and pipeline
Craft compelling proposals and negotiate contracts to drive deal closure
Deliver account analysis and accurate sales forecasts on a regular basis
Maintain and grow trusted relationships within the SLED ecosystem
Stay up to date with cybersecurity trends and public sector compliance requirements
Collaborate with marketing, technical, and executive teams to align on strategic growth plans
Leverage a solutions-based sales approach tailored to each client’s security maturity and threat landscape
