Our client, a well-known retail apparel company, is looking for a Freelance Merchant/Buyer for childrenswear.. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of direct merchandising experience working at an apparel manufacturer, retailer or marketer. Flexible Hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

Develop product assortments that align with the brand’s style and meet financial goals.
Analyze trends and competitor activity to create a consumer-focused product strategy.
Oversee collections and collaborations from concept to delivery, managing timelines and deliverables.
Collaborate with regional teams to ensure products meet global and local market needs.
Present insights and updates on sales performance and product trends.
Maintain accurate product data and support system processes as needed.

Required Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
4–5 years of experience in merchandising for apparel brands or retailers.
Proficiency in PLM software.
Understanding of garment design, construction, and costing.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to mentor and train team members.
