Job Specifications

Our client, a Top 5 Canadian Bank, is looking to hire a Process Consultant (Business Discovery and Optimization) for a 12-month contract (with potential extension or conversion to FTE). This is a hybrid position based in Toronto.

Responsibilities:

Provide in-depth business analysis and process consultation to support Enterprise Digital & AI Enablement in improving operational and business processes.
Identify process inefficiencies, assess impacts, and recommend actionable solutions that enhance client and employee experiences.
Develop detailed current and future state process maps to identify improvement opportunities.
Facilitate collaboration and brainstorming sessions with cross-functional stakeholders using tools such as FigJam or Mural.
Analyze data to extract insights, perform cost-benefit analysis, and support decision-making.
Lead or support moderate-complexity initiatives to enhance or optimize business processes, products, or services.
Participate in enterprise projects, contributing process engineering expertise and continuous improvement recommendations.

Must-Have Skills:

Minimum 3 years' experience in process engineering using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Visio and Microsoft O365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
2+ years' experience using collaboration and process mapping tools such as FigJam or Mural.
Strong ability to quickly grasp high-level business concepts and translate them into detailed process maps.
Proven experience designing future state processes based on ideation and solutioning sessions.
Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques to identify, anticipate, and resolve organizational or process challenges.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Prior experience within Financial Institutions or Banking operations (call centres, back office, or branch processes).
Understanding of people change management principles.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
