Exciting Opportunity for a Finance Business Partner in London, Ontario

Are you a CPA-certified professional with a passion for agriculture and a strong background in financial reporting and analysis? An exceptional opportunity awaits you in southwestern Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Advisory: Provide regular financial consultations to joint-venture business owners, offering insights and guidance on financial matters.
Comprehensive Financial Reporting: Prepare internal monthly, interim, and year-end financial statements using advanced tools like Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Dynamics/ Navision/ Business Central.
Team Leadership: Oversee and assist the accounting/bookkeeping staff at each joint-venture location, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Board-Level Engagement: Prepare formal interim and year-end board packages, attend semi-annual board meetings, and present high-level financial overviews.
Capital Planning & Analysis: Conduct return on investment financial analyses for potential capital projects and business acquisitions/amalgamations.
ERP System Support: Provide ongoing support for the ERP system, including staff training and addressing operational queries.
Tax & Audit Coordination: Assist with year-end corporate income tax returns and liaise with external audit firms during assurance engagements.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Commerce.
Professional Certification: CPA designation.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in preparing and analyzing internal financial statements.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics/Navision/Business Central is advantageous.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
Communication: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to build long-term business relationships.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in the agriculture sector is a plus.
