Head of Finance – High-Growth AI/SaaS Company
Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
We’ve been retained on a search for the first Head of Finance at a female-founded AI/SaaS company in San Francisco that is redefining how hardware and electronics are designed. By bringing modern collaboration, workflow automation, and AI-driven intelligence into electronic design, the company is transforming a massive but historically underserved industry—one that underpins the future of AI itself.
With enterprise and Fortune 50 customers already adopting their platform across aerospace, medical devices, and consumer electronics, the business is entering its next stage of growth. Having recently completed a successful Series A and preparing for a Series B in the next 18–24 months, they are well-positioned to become the cloud-native category leader in this market.
The Opportunity
This is the company’s first dedicated finance leadership hire, a role designed for a strategic operator who can serve as a true thought partner to the CEO and leadership team. It blends strategic influence with hands-on execution—ideal for someone who wants to own and build the finance function while helping guide the company through rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead investor relations, fundraising readiness, and board communications.
Build forward-looking financial models, forecasts, and scenario planning to inform strategy.
Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering leaders on pricing, budgeting, and ROI analysis.
Implement scalable systems, dashboards, and processes to professionalize reporting and KPIs.
Oversee an external bookkeeper and manage accounting operations including AR/AP, collections, reconciliations, and compliance.
